The INSS will anticipate the payment of benefits such as retirement, pension or assistance to residents affected by the rains on the north coast of São Paulo, according to a statement issued this Wednesday (22). The extra amount, which corresponds to one month of benefit, will be available from March 27th.

The ordinance of the Ministry of Social Security is valid while the state of calamity lasts in the cities of Guarujá, Bertioga, São Sebastião, Caraguatatuba, Ilhabela and Ubatuba. According to the INSS, around 100 thousand people will be able to opt for the advance of the benefit, which will add up to around R$ 220 million.

The deadline for opting for the advance goes from 3/17 to 3/20, and the beneficiary must inform the bank where he receives the benefit of his intention. The measure does not cover temporary benefits.
