In the Tax Reform, free trade is strengthened with the articulation of Deputy Acácio Favacho – News of Brazil

The Chamber of Deputies approved, this week, the text of the Tax Reform. After voting, the highlights were analyzed, including the amendment authored by deputy Acácio Favacho, which guaranteed and maintains the differentiated tax incentive for the free trade areas and free zone of Manaus. The contemplated free trade areas are: in Boa Vista and Bonfim, in Roraima; Guajará-Mirim, in Rondônia; Brasileia-Epitaciolândia and Cruzeiro do Sul, in Acre; Tabatinga, in the Amazon; and Macapá and Santana, in Amapá.

“After a strong dialogue, we managed to guarantee tax incentives so that the Free Trade Areas have their security mechanisms and their competitive character maintained”, explains.

The deputy who advised in favor of the highlight also praised during his speech the exemplary work of the deputy and rapporteur for the Tax Reform, Aguinaldo Ribeiro.

“We worked intensely here, throughout this week and, especially today, with the approval of the PEC. Thus, we managed to ensure that our Free Trade Area maintains its competitiveness, guaranteeing the generation of jobs and income for our population. It was an intense work together with the rapporteur, whom I thank very much, for understanding and meeting our demand”he concluded.
