Dorinaldo recalled that he was the first parliamentarian to embrace the cause against the then determined readjustment of 44.41% in Amapá’s electricity bills, taking action in the courts and the Ministry of Mines and Energy the day after the interview in which the president Lula was surprised to be informed by the radio host Luiz Melo, from the FM Diary, that the state pays the highest electricity tariff in the country.
The deputy also recalled that after his intercession, there were successive adhesion to the fight against Aneel and CEA Equatorial, those responsible for the measure that would shake the emotional factor of the state’s population, which would find its economies even more difficult. The accessions resulted in the political decision to create a Provisional Measure to change the country’s energy model and a judicial decision preventing the increase, outright.
Dorinaldo Malafaia he also recalled that his fight was open not only against the readjustment announced at the time, but also about the rude way in which CEA Equatorial treated or treats consumers. He warned that the fight is not over yet and that it should only end when the country’s energy model is changed. Until a few days ago, the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) was sovereign in the sector.
As for health, the deputy, who belongs to the Amapá PDT, recalled that his early days as a member of the National Congress have been marked by a good relationship with the sector’s minister, Nísia Trindade. This enabled, among other examples, the approval of the vaccine against the syncytial virus, whose action in the state brought to the state a team of experts to combat an outbreak that attacked children, including some deaths.
Malafaia is part of the Parliamentary Front in Defense of Vaccines. He managed to secure investments of 71 million reais for the Amapá Central Laboratory, the largest resource in the country allocated to a laboratory. Finally, he managed to obtain R$2 million for the state’s city halls to act in the fight against malaria.
