One of the young revelations of Brazilian MMA, fighter Jefferson “Toddynho” Nascimento will make his second fight for the Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) on January 28th, when the American organization arrives with its 151st edition in the city of Cajamar, in Sao Paulo. The commitment will mark the debut of the Renovação Fight Team (RFT) athlete in the lightweight category (up to 70kg), a division he intends to play from now on.

“I had some fights up to 77kg, but I saw with my nutritionist and my physical trainer that I could hit 70kg. In my last fight it was up to 72kg and I had never hit the weight as well as I did for this fight. So, from now on this is my new category. This is the category that I want to dominate and make my name even more”, explained Toddynho.
Undefeated in cages, he will make his ninth MMA fight against also undefeated Matheus Rocha. So far, Toddynho has eight wins, two by knockout and three by submission in events like Shooto Brasil and Favela Kombat. Despite being only his second fight in the LFA and his debut in a new category, Toddynho believes that, in case of victory, his record could bring him even closer to a shot at the organization’s title.
“I don’t believe that this category change means I’m starting from scratch. Due to my history, my cartel and the sequence of victories I’ve conquered to date, I believe that, if I go through this challenge, a belt dispute of the category will be closer. That’s what I’m aiming for, fighting for the belt in one of the biggest MMA organizations in the world, or directly signing a contract with the biggest MMA event in the world, which is the UFC”, he concluded.
