The president Luís Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) reinforced party leaders that they will support the senator Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP) to command the Senate, in 2025.
The signaling took place during happy hour promoted by Lula himself to senators from the government base and ministers on the night of Tuesday, 5th, at Palácio da Alvorada.
According to leaders who attended the gathering, Lula praised the name of the current president of the Constitution and Justice Commission (CCJ) of the Senate. Even without a leadership position in the House of Laws, Alcolumbre was also invited to the meeting.
