The elected federal deputy Erika Hilton (PSOL-SP) presented a criminal notice to the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) against former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) for alleged misuse of the Presidency’s corporate card to finance motorcycles.
Hilton cites expenses published by the news agency Ficam Sabendo and obtained through the LAI (Access to Information Law) regarding motorcycles that took place on June 12, 2021 and on April 15 of last year, both during religious events.
In one of them, federal deputy Carla Zambelli (PL-SP), then-minister Ricardo Salles (Environment) and other parliamentarians were present.
The elected deputy asks that at least R$ 182,909.83 spent during the events be returned to the Union and that Bolsonaro be investigated for the alleged practice of administrative impropriety.
“The facts widely publicized by the press give rise to a series of questions about possible illegalities practiced during the motorcycles taken over by Jair Bolsonaro, in view of the use of public resources, through the corporate card of the Presidency of the Republic, to finance expenses inherent to activities with a notorious electoral and personal character”, says the crime news.
Hilton states, for example, that during the second edition of the motorcycle race “Accelerates for Christ”, held in April last year in the interior of São Paulo, R$ 103,042.29 of the corporate card were used, of which R$ 2,614.61 were allocated to automotive fuels and lubricants, R$64,459.93 to food and R$35,967.75 to accommodation.
“The situation leads to strong evidence of misuse, by Jair Bolsonaro, of public resources for his personal promotion and the complete absence of any justification of public interest in the use of the corporate card”, says Erika Hilton.
