The goalkeeper Gabriel asked to leave Coritiba. The information was revealed by coach Guto Ferreira at the press conference, after the Alviverde’s victory against Operário4-0, this Sunday (28).

According to Guto, the athlete left training at CT da Graciosa and talked to the Alviverde board about leaving the club for emotional reasons.

“[Ele] he felt pressured by the moment, he came to us, said that he didn’t feel emotionally fit to play and simply left training, went to look for the management and from that point on the situation is with the management”, explained the coach.

During the press conference, the coach emphasized the importance of having players who are aligned with the club’s mentality. Since the end of last year, after relegation, the club adopted the discourse that it is necessary to have a “winning mentality” in the squad in order for the objectives to be achieved.

“Whoever wants to be part of this project will be here and play here. Those who doubt it can be sure that they are losing and down the road they will regret having abandoned the ship”, she said.

Holder of the alviverde goal in the Campeonato Paranaense, Gabriel was the only Coxa goalkeeper to miss since his debut. In two games, he conceded four goals. Reserve Morisco and third goalkeeper Benassi, which premiered this Thursdaywere not leaked.
