This Thursday, 7th, in an exemplary gesture of social responsibility and encouragement of sport, the Equatorial Group contributed significantly to the development of judo students from the Talent Discovery Project – Sport is Safety, by providing complete uniforms and mats. The delivery took place in an exciting event at the Escola Municipal de Educação Infantil Luzia Costa da Silva, in the district of Coração, in Macapá, and was attended by representatives of the Project, representatives of the Equatorial Group, judo teachers, parents and, of course, , the direct beneficiaries: the students of the community judo project.

The partnership between the Equatorial Group and the project organizers was born from the understanding that sport is an essential tool in the integral development of children and adolescents. In addition to the physical benefits, practicing judo also promotes values such as discipline, respect, overcoming and teamwork.

The Superintendent of Environment, Social Responsibility and Safety of the Equatorial Group, Carlos Afonso, highlighted the importance of this support for the training of young athletes.

“We believe in the transformative potential of sport, and we are pleased to contribute to the development of these young talents. We hope that these kimonos represent not just a garment, but a symbol of unity and commitment to judo and its values,” stated Carlos during the event.

The kimonos, made with high quality materials, were personalized with the Equatorial Group logo, providing a feeling of belonging and identity to judo practitioners. In addition to the kimonos, tatami mats and the hiring of legal, accounting and communication consultancy services enabled the internal organization of the project. The judo teacher responsible for the project, Antônio Viana, expressed his gratitude for the partnership.

“This initiative by Grupo Equatorial goes far beyond uniforms. It is a recognition of the potential of these children and a motivation for them to continue dedicating themselves to sport. We are very happy with this support”highlighted Antônio.

The Talent Discovery – Sport is Safety project was born 17 years ago, currently has more than 1,500 students and 49 teachers, expanding not only in Macapá in the Coração District, but also in the municipalities of Paragominas, Santa Maria do Pará, counting with more than 60 groups being trained in judo and other sports.

The teacher, resident of Distrito do Coração and student of the project, Fabrícia Costa, upon receiving her new kimono, shared her emotions and gratitude regarding the company’s significant gesture.

“I feel immensely grateful for the partnership with Grupo Equatorial. To me, it represents more than just workout wear; It is a symbol of recognition and support for our efforts in judo.
