The nephew of the governor of Maranhão, Carlos Brandão (PSB), the lawyer Daniel Itapary Brandão, 37, should be nominated next week for a position as counselor at the Court of Auditors of the State of Maranhão.

Renata Calheiros, wife of Transport Minister Renan Filho (MDB), was elected in December by state deputies as the new counselor of the Court of Auditors of the State of Alagoas. In office, she will be one of those responsible for judging the accounts of Governor Paulo Dantas (MDB), an ally of her husband.
