On the morning of last Tuesday, the 2nd, the governor of Amapá, Clécio Luís, accompanied by his deputy, Teles Junior, made a technical visit to the Macapá Emergency Hospital, where, in addition to highlighting the improvements in infrastructure and service, they celebrated the vacancy of the site’s corridors.
“Exactly one year ago, Telinho and I were here to make our first visit and set up our office here, and we did so. Today the HE is completely different, from the entrance, reception, the differentiation of people who arrive here to be treated, people with traumas have different entrances”celebrated Clecio.
Clecio highlighted that before, people seeking care, traumatized people and employees, as well as bodies heading to the morgue, passed through the same space: “Someone was traumatized, stabbed, shot, and the bodies were coming out too, the morgue was outside. So now there are different entrances, for servers, for those who come to the normal flow, and for those who are experiencing trauma”he pointed out.
“The person comes here, gets a password, does the screening, gets a bracelet and will be treated according to their needs, this protocol guarantees the patient good care and resolution”reported Clecio.
One of the most evident problems in the Emergency Hospital space was patients occupying the corridors due to lack of beds, and regarding this barrier, Clécio stated: “Today we have been without people in the corridors for three days, some will eventually appear, but the idea is to get to zero. New beds were created, in Santana there were 110, now there are 201, there are another 32 in Hcal, new ICUs in the maternity ward, new beds in HE, in Oiapoque; there are 94 new beds at the Children and Adolescent Hospital”
“There has been a change in the hospital flow of care, there is a lot to improve, but if you enter here you will see a lot of different things, without crowded corridors, people crowded together, an environment that was not suitable for those who came to improve their health”concluded the manager.
