In less than four months of management, the governor of Amapá, Clecio Luis, guarantees the strengthening of state public security with the appointment of 114 new members of the Civil Police. 20 delegates, 22 officers and 72 police agents will reinforce the corporation, appointed in a ceremony this Monday, 17th, in the auditorium of the Sebrae, in Macapa.
The governor Clecio Luis emphasized that this is a measure to reinforce state security. They are new delegates, agents and officers who will act massively in the fight against crime.
“It is a citizen’s right to feel and be safe. The appointment of these new public servants is an investment in public security and a sign for criminal groups to understand that we are going to reinforce security, to work tirelessly so that Amapá has a new reality in this regard. We know that difficulties will arise, but we all have to have a public spirit, because people who go to the police station or Ciosp have a problem and we need to be sensitive. Secretary of Justice and Public Security (Sejusp), José Lima Grandchild, recalled the commitment that the new police officers must have with the population.

The President of the Public Security Commission of the Legislative Assembly of Amapá (Alap), Delegate Ignatius, spoke of the dedication of each one until reaching this moment.

The only woman among the 20 new delegates, Ana Maria Rabelo, spoke of the challenges and expectations in the portfolio. “It is a great honor to be the only woman. A joy to join this corporation. We know that the challenges are many, society expects a lot from us, but we are putting our hearts and souls into doing our best to contribute to the public safety of the State”said the delegate, who highlighted the importance of female representation.
“I wish there were more women participating in this moment, the police need it. It is necessary to have this female reinforcement in the police stations, especially in the police stations for crimes against women. Unfortunately in this class we didn’t have it, but for sure in the future we will. This day is a victory, it is the combination of a lot of effort over the years”, highlighted Ana Maria.
