Governor Clécio delivers new hospital complex in Santana – News of Brazil

The Government of Amapá inaugurated this Thursday morning, the 21st, the hospital complex in the municipality of Santana, which has an emergency hospital, adult and children’s HE; 77 clinical beds; and Intensive Care Unit, ICU, jumping from 110 to 164 beds.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by, in addition to the governor, Clécio Luís, your deputy, Teles Junior; mayor of Santana, Bala Rocha; state secretary of health, Silvana Vedovelli; and state secretary of infrastructure, David Covre, among other municipal and state authorities.
“It is a turning point in terms of health, in resolution, in dignity for the people of Santaná. We are providing two emergency rooms, one for children, with reception, triage, outpatient clinic, consultation rooms, emergency room, red room and medication room, and another for adults with the same things, there are two specific entrances for ambulances. And back there, the Santana Maternity Hospital”declared Clécio Luís.
“The state of Amapá is in a transition phase in health. We left a hostile reality for a new era in the sector’s infrastructure, physical structure, which is our portfolio. The governor has led. The government has been working intensively to raise funds for necessary works”celebrated the infrastructure secretary, David Covre.
“The emergency room has been under construction for two years and seven months. It is a very important moment for the community of Santana, for health professionals and for Governor Clécio. We can give dignity to those who come looking for care, to the servers who work here. It’s a moment of joy, it’s a Christmas present for Santana”he said Silvana Vedovelli.
After speaking with the press, the governor and other authorities visited the hospital facilities. The Emergency Hospital is named ‘Raimundo Cordeiro da Rocha’, a tribute in memory of one of the best-known residents in the region, being the first entrepreneur to supply the Santanense community with cattle meat.
The unit is structured to serve the people of Santana with wards, a red room, pharmacy and surgical center, in addition to a maternity ward with capacity for 24 beds. The renovation began in February 2021. The works were carried out with 100% resources from the State Treasury, worth more than R$41 million. Of these, R$10 million were invested this year alone, by the current administration.
