The governor Clecio Luis presented on the morning of this Tuesday, 22, at the Fazendinha Exhibition Park the result of the public consultation that registered 657 suggestions about the environmental licensing process in the state. On the occasion, initiatives were announced for the transfer of agribusiness, such as the transfer of land from the Union to the state and the provision of a Grain Storage Center, on BR-210.
“Today is a feedback from another meeting at the Palace with the productive sector, especially family agriculture, large-scale agriculture, which we call agribusiness, agroindustry, in short, the entire productive sector. At this meeting, 13 points were listed as problems to be solved; We are giving feedback on these 13 bottlenecks, but we are also presenting 34 terms of reference for environmental licensing” informed Clecio Louis.
“We have already advanced a lot in what we feel about the mission, everything has already been resolved. A normative action has already been published that will guide the entire process of land regularization; the state is making a technical cooperation agreement with the municipalities so that they can also participate in this effort. We have good news in this area, we decided to face this problem, it’s been something like 30 years, since the state was created we have this gap” declared Telles Junior, vice governor.
The Secretary of State for the Environment (Sema) prepared and made available to society the 34 terms of reference that include various activities that generate environmental impacts, including agribusiness, civil construction and mining. The suggestions were heard and taken into account for the final version of the documents.
“It is with great satisfaction that today we are going to present the 34 terms of reference for environmental licensing. It was a job of listening to the population from various segments, control bodies that actively participated, we had a suggestion from the Mining Department that participated in this process. The publication of these terms is the implementation of a faster and more transparent process” he said Taísa Mendonca, state secretary for the environment.
“This agro moment is a historic milestone. 2023 is the year that agro reappears; you can even say that it has risen from the ashes, because this footprint of public entities of the government and of all the secretariats together in a sense of developing agro in Amapá is taking place. The agro has already planted 19,000 hectares and this year it did not exceed 4,000; in this sense, we expect to reach 12,000 next year, which heats up the state’s economy” spoke valmir de Souza, businessperson.
