Government of SP releases BRL 500 million for those affected by rains – 02/23/2023 – Panel

The government of São Paulo released three lines of credit to help those affected by the heavy rains on the north coast of the state during Carnival. In total, there are more than R$ 500 million in resources made available.
The modalities serve informal workers, companies and municipalities. Microentrepreneurs will be entitled to R$30 million in credit subsidized by Banco do Povo, with loans of up to R$21,000. Payment conditions are special, with a grace period of 180 days, a period of 48 months and zero fee.
Develop SP, the state development agency, will release BRL 200 million in credit for small and medium-sized companies, with a grace period of 12 months, a period of up to 60 months to pay and a Selic rate of +0.57% per month.
The same agency should also provide another R$ 283 million in credit for six municipalities affected by the disaster, with a grace period of 12 months, a period of up to 120 days to pay and a Selic rate of +0.25% per month.
In the government of Tarcísio de Freitas, the release of credit lines is being seen as an investment in the reconstruction of regions destroyed by the floods.
