Government of Amapá proposes school exchange program with French Guiana – News of Brazil

During the 12th Mixed Commission for Cross-border Cooperation Brazil/France, the Government of Amapá presented as proposals for public education policies initiatives for student exchange and training of French and Brazilian teachers . The meeting took place in Cayenne on the 3rd and 4th of July.
The Secretary of State for Education, Sandra Casimiro, was part of the state delegation that resumed international dialogues after four years. The manager reinforced that partnerships and cooperation agreements are essential for public education.
“We are going to take from this important meeting the strengthening of teacher training, both on the French and Brazilian sides. The exchange between our students from the state network and students from the French network will also be a great gain for everyone’s education”, highlighted the secretary.
Also this Friday, the 7th, technicians from the Secretary of State for Education (Seed) will travel to France, to advance and provide even more partnerships in the sector.
Cross-Border Commission
The Mixed Commission for Cross-Border Cooperation Brazil/France debates demands in several axes, such as health, education, environment, culture, commercial and diplomatic relations. The meeting marked the rapprochement between the two sides, having as one of the main themes the proposed changes in the visa rules for Brazilians, especially from Amapá, to circulate in French territory.
