PT president and federal deputy Gleisi Hoffmann (PT-PR) provoked former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) this Sunday (2), by stating in a speech in Brasília that “it’s no use for him to cry” after the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) ) have determined his ineligibility until 2030 last Friday (30).
Hoffmann made the statement during an event celebrating the return of former deputy Jean Wyllys to Brazil, held at Eixão, in Asa Norte.
“We beat Bolsonaro, you [Wyllys] accompanied the campaign, it was a tough campaign, we won. But we still have a very big fight, which is to overcome Bolsonarism, which is still embedded in our society, still carrying out perversions, continuing to stimulate prejudice, in short, going up against freedoms”, said the PT president.
“It’s no use for him to cry, it’s no use to victimize himself [sic], as he wants to do. He doesn’t know how to play the game with the rules of democracy, so anyone who doesn’t do politics in democracy can’t do politics, he has to stay out of politics. He will stay out of politics, therefore, he is ineligible”, said the PT candidate.
Bolsonaro was condemned by five votes to two by the TSE for abuse of power and misuse of purpose for holding a meeting with ambassadors in July last year, in which he questioned the credibility of electronic voting machines. The action had been proposed by the PDT last year.
