With the heavy rains that hit the state this Tuesday, the 13th, the traditional street block ‘A Banda’ was postponed.

The measure, which Governor Clécio was one of the first to inform about by A Banda management, was taken with the possibility of the bloc leaving, but only after an evaluation meeting later this week.

Regarding the intense precipitation, the governor, in an exclusive interview with the Daily Communication System, spoke about the measures taken.

Clécio stated that he will provide labor and machinery to the municipality of Macapá, in order to unblock the clogged canals, which caused flooding in several parts of the city.

The governor said that the machinery is available “for whoever needs it”, citing the mayor of Macapá, Antônio Furlan, and the municipal manager of Santana, Bala Rocha.

“We are bringing together teams from Civil Defense, Firefighters and our infrastructure part to make these forces available with machines for Macapá City Hall; to help with this service of unblocking canals and drains that are clogged” declared Clécio.

The governor highlighted that all forces will be made available to the municipalities to help with the issue of rain and tides.
