Gaúcha Maria Eduarda Brechane is elected Miss Brazil 2023

Mari is the 15th from Rio Grande do Sul to be crowned in the national beauty contest. Amazonense was in the top 7.

The 69th Miss Universe Brazil, took place on Saturday night (08) in São Paulo and crowned journalism student Maria Eduarda Brechane, 19, Miss Rio Grande do Sul, as Miss Brazil 2023, she is the 15th from Rio Grande do Sul to be crowned in the national beauty pageant.

The young woman will represent Brazil in Miss Universe this year, which will be held in El Salvador. Second place went to Miss Mato Grosso, Bárbara Reis and third place went to Miss São Paulo, Vitória Brodt.

MISS UNIVERSE

The announcement of the host country for Miss Universe 2023 was made by the president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, during the 71st Miss Universe in New Orleans, last year where Miss USA R’Bonney Gabriel won the crown, becoming the first Filipino-American to win the competition. The date has not yet been chosen, but it should happen between November or December of this year.

MISS AMAZON

Miss Amazonas, Alice Casanova, 25 years old from Coari, was classified for the top 16, where she paraded in gala and bathing suits, ending her participation in the competition in the top 7.
