— I spent the whole of January in Rio so I could rehearse with the school and take private lessons. I’m safe to parade. Of course, it’s not at the level of a person who grew up in the community with samba on his foot and learned it since he was a child. But I’m doing my best, I don’t want to disappoint. — When I came to Rio, I started to follow the carnival more and I discovered that Portela is a reference school. I even have an eagle tattoo. I believe it was meant to be, and love was born.
