Furlan swore in Semhou’s new secretary – News of Brazil

Mayor Dr. Furlan appointed and swore in the new manager of the Municipal Department of Housing and Urban Planning (Semhou), Max Ataliba Ferreira Pires. The ceremony took place on the morning of this Friday (9), in the meeting room of the City Hall of Macapá in the presence of parliamentarians of the Municipal Legislative Power, managers and family members. The change in management is part of the continuity of inspection, ordering and organization work in the city.
The head of the Municipal Executive Power thanked everyone from the Brazilian Socialist Party (PSB) for the nomination and reliability, and stressed that he needs the experience, dedication and commitment of Max Ataliba with the Chamber of Councilors in the organization and planning of the city, respecting mainly street vendors.
“I appreciate the confidence of PSB, and I believe that Max will do an excellent job as a manager. We want to continue organizing Macapá respecting everyone, especially street vendors, because we need sensitivity, to wish others what we want for ourselves. One day, a street potato farmer called me and told me that her son was studying medicine because she had worked all her life selling potatoes”, emphasized Dr. Furlan.
On the occasion, the mayor praised all the work carried out by the former secretary of the folder, Nildo Nunes, and highlighted the importance of continuing the mission, now at the Municipal Social Assistance Secretariat (Semas), as undersecretary.
“The mission is challenging, but with the support of the Semhou team and everyone else, we are going to organize the capital of Amapa and make it more beautiful in order to attract the population of Macapa and tourists. We will have a careful look at the trafficability of the population in Praça do Coco, since it is a point where we need to improve the flow”pondered the new secretary Max Ataliba.
The municipal administration made changes to 30 folders this year, 2023, with the aim of oxygenating them for the continuity of the work in favor of the development of the city, such as the creation of 2 new secretariats, one for Sport and Leisure and one for the Family, in addition to institution of the Municipal Coordination of Animal Health, Protection and Defense.
