Furlan delivers revitalized Arena Turíbio Guimarães, in Trem – News of Brazil

This Wednesday, the 20th, Macapá City Hall delivered the ‘Turíbio Guimarães’ Arena, in the Trem neighborhood, revitalized. The space in the Praça Nossa Senhora da Conceição area is used by surrounding residents for leisure, sports and commercial activities.
The Turíbio Guimarães Arena received renovation and modernization. The space now has synthetic grass, fenced fencing, lighting, renovated stands and broadcast booth. The place is also the stage for the Marcílio Dias World Cup, Fantasy Football and the games of the Association of Singles and Married People of Bairro do Trem.
The mayor of Macapá, Dr. Furlan, highlighted that the delivery of the renovated arena to the population contributes to a mental protection factor for its patrons, as it is a place where people go to socialize, to experience good times with family and friends.
“Today is another day of celebration, a day where political decision and determination will change the history of this arena. In less than 90 days of construction, we are delivering this arena so that society can enjoy this space in the best way possible”, highlighted the mayor Furlan.
Costa Filho, president of the Bairro do Trem Singles and Married Association, spoke of the importance that games in the arena have for street vendors in the region. Second Coast, approximately 150 entrepreneurs participate in the events, selling food, drinks, toys and other items around the square.
