Furlan and entourage go to Brasília to discuss parliamentary amendments – News of Brazil

Mayor Antônio Furlan fulfills an institutional agenda, in Brasília, accompanied by councilors who support his government in the Municipal Legislative, to discuss with parliamentarians and federal authorities the investment plan of the parliamentary amendments for the 2024 Union Budget.

Furlan is accompanied, in the country’s capital, by councilors Marcelo Dias, Alexandre Azevedo, Nelson Sousa, Maraína Martins, Janete Capiberibe, Edinoelson Trindade, Carlos Murilo, Gean do Nae and Caetano Bentes.

In the morning, the mayor and delegation met with the minister of education, Camilo Santana, and with senator Lucas Barreto. The afternoon’s agenda began at 1 pm in a meeting with federal deputy Sílvia Waiãpi.

Meeting with the minister of integration and regional development, Waldez Góes, scheduled for 3:30 pm, was canceled for a supervening reason. In it, matters such as macro-drainage of the canals of Macapá, equipment and machinery for Civil Defense, the edge of the city (southern section) and vehicles and equipment for family farming would be dealt with.

At 4 pm, Antônio Furlan and councilors meet, at the Ministry of Defense, with a representative of the 7th Command of the Naval District and with the general director of the Calha Norte Program, General Poty. With General Poty, the foreseen subject is the reconstruction of the Sérgio Arruda bridge, in the north zone of Macapá.

The mayor and his entourage will also meet, at 5 pm, with senator Randolfe Rodrigues, to discuss access to the Amazon Fund and BNDES for projects by the City Hall of Macapá. The Agenda will be closed at 6:30 pm in the office of federal deputy Vinícius Gurgel, where the Proposals Book will be delivered to the Ministers and the Federal Parliamentary Bench.

Also part of the entourage of Mayor Antônio Furlan, in Brasília, are Vice Mayor Mônica Penha; Ivo Melo, representing the municipality of Macapá in the Federal District; communication secretary Diego Santos; undersecretary of government, Simão Tuma; and the undersecretary of the civil office, Viviane Rebelo.
