O Paraná Club received an injection of nostalgia and hope with the recent appointment of Anderson Simas Luciano, the Czech, as team coach. The professional’s trajectory in the world of football is deeply intertwined with the history of Tricolor itself, marking the return of an idol from other great teams now as technical commander of Paraná.

“Today I feel honored and privileged to be in this position. I was thrilled when I arrived at Kennedy, I entered the gym, I smelled my childhood. I had the pleasure of being five-time champion in Paraná. It’s exciting to be the club’s coach. I can’t promise results or immediate access. But, I promise to honor the great coaches who have been here”, said Tcheco.

The beginning in Paraná and the successful career as a player

His skill and tactical intelligence caught attention from an early age, and he soon became a fundamental player in futsal even during his time at Pinheiros, one of the clubs that gave rise to Tricolor. Afterwards, the athlete was taken to the pitch to become a midfielder for the Vila Capanema team.

However, the start was not as expected. After 15 years in Paraná, Tcheco was injured and ended up being released by the club, having the most difficult moment of his career, as he himself revealed in interviews.

But, Tcheco got back on his feet. The midfielder gained the opportunity at the extinct Malutrom to soon become an idol of the Coritiba in the early 2000s. Still as a player, he played for Al Ittihad (Saudi Arabia), Santos, Grêmio – also being a reference in the club from Rio Grande do Sul -, Corinthians, until ending his career at Coxa, in 2012.

After hanging up his boots in 2012, Tcheco continued at Coritiba, but behind the scenes. The former midfielder was a football executive, assistant coach and took on the role of interim coach in the final stretch of the 2013 Brasileirão, avoiding Coxa’s relegation to Series B.

In 2017, the last year of glory and achievements for Paraná, Tcheco had returned to his home club. The former player took on the role of football manager and technical assistant to Matheus Costa in the campaign for access to the elite of Brazilian football.

The remarkable passage through Cascavel

After spells at Barra-SC and Rio Branco, Tcheco began his remarkable career at Cascavel. In the 2021 and 2022 seasons, the coach achieved unprecedented feats, such as Paranaense’s runner-up in 2021 and places in the Copa do Brasil and Série D.

“Czeco is a unique human being. At the same time as he delegates responsibilities, he gives you a lot of peace of mind. The secret of his management is to let professionals evolve. It’s a healthy demand, which gives results, making the environment strong. It was the coach who stayed in his position the longest at Cascavel because of this attitude. He is a football scholar, he is a reference and is shaping himself every year as a coach. This door that opened for him in Paraná is a great opportunity. I am sure that He will wear the shirt and deliver the club to the first division”, highlights Giba, Cascavel’s goalkeeper trainer.

Tcheco returns to Paraná with the mission of restructuring the club

After leaving Cascavel, Tcheco worked at Azuriz and Caxias last year. The coach spent seven months without a club until the agreement with Paraná.

Now, in his third spell at Paraná, Tcheco faces a challenging mission: returning the club to the elite of Paraná football. Tricolor, which has already seen glorious days, seeks to regain its prominent place on the pitch, and the choice of Tcheco as coach represents not only a bet on his competence, but also an emotional connection with the fans.

“The Paraná fans are our biggest asset at the moment. Let the fans come and support us and fill Vila Capanema, because we will need it. It’s one of my biggest challenges as a coach, but I’m prepared for it”, concludes the coach .
