Caio Junior will realize a posthumous dream this Thursday (14), starting at 5pm, at the Public Library of Paraná, with the launch of the book “Caio Júnior – the idol, the human being and his unforgettable journey”, by journalist Adriano RattmannCaio’s advisor for 13 years.

An old dream of the former player and coach, one of the victims of the Chapecoense plane crash in 2016, the biographical work retraces the steps of Luiz Carlos Sarolli’s successful career, from the futsal courts and campinhos in Cascavel, his hometown, through for success in Brazilian and Portuguese football, before beginning a successful career as a coach.

Through its more than 300 pages, the book delves into Caio’s personal and professional universe, as well as portraying the panorama of Brazilian football in the late 1980s, with anecdotes and fun stories that reveal the behind-the-scenes of sport in the country in more romantic times, that preceded the era of football as a multimillion-dollar business.

While reading, it is possible to understand in great detail the qualities of Caio as a player, as well as the mentality of the coach on the edge of the field, in passages that break down the tactical schemes of the teams he coached and the relationship with athletes led by teams like Paraná Clube , Palmeiras, Vitória, Flamengo and, of course, Chape.

But the work goes far beyond the professional aspect, and allows us to immerse ourselves in the personal universe of its protagonist, detailing the battles against anxiety and depression, the difficulties of adapting at the beginning of his career in Portuguese football and the adventures in football in Japan and Middle East.

The biography pays fair and sincere tribute to the coach who had a career that still had many dreams, such as coaching the Brazilian team, which was interrupted in a tragic and distressing way on November 26, 2016.

At the victorious Chapecoense, who would compete for the South American title in Colombia, Caio lived a magical moment, at peace in his personal and professional life. “If I died, I would die happy, because everything I wanted, I got in life,” he declared.
