Freixo seeks senators to maintain appeal for Embratur – 09/24/2023 – Panel

The president of Embratur, Marcelo Freixo, is looking for senators to convince them to maintain in the text that regulates sports betting the provision that allocates 1% of revenue from the activity to the international tourism promotion agency.
The distribution of part of the resources collected from bets is considered essential for the agency to be able to maintain its activities, after the first solution designed to finance Embratur, part of the Sistema S resources, was vetoed by President Lula (PT) in May.
Without this, the agency’s only source of financing is R$100 million transferred by Sebrae, through an agreement.
