Foz do Iguaçu Airport expands route to Santiago – 04/20/2023 – Panel SA

The Chilean airline JetSmart will expand the number of flights between Santiago and Foz do Iguaçu this winter to meet the increased demand in relation to the pre-pandemic.
The route will have three flights a week in July and August, one more than the current level.
According to CCR, which manages the terminal, around 12,000 Chileans disembarked at Foz do Iguaçu airport last year, triple the number registered in 2019.
The JetSmart route between Foz do Iguaçu and Santiago was interrupted with the arrival of Covid in 2020, it returned to work for the summer season the following year and became regular in 2022.
