Market Livre opens 445 jobs in Brazil – 04/20/2023 – Market

Market Livre has 445 jobs open throughout Brazil. By the end of this year, the ecommerce and financial services platform plans to fill 5,700 jobs, bringing the size of its workforce by 37%.

Around 2,500 positions have already been filled or are in the process of hiring in the first four months. Most of the vacancies will be in the areas of technology and product, in different positions and regions of Brazil. The company also foresees expansion in the areas of logistics and Market Pago, which is the group’s digital bank.

“The expansion of the staff is part of our projected contribution for this year in the country, where we want to increase the number of cities with fast deliveries, on the same day or the day after the purchase”, says Fernando Yunes, senior vice president and leader of the Free Market Brazil, in note.

The investment planned by the platform for this year in Brazil is R$ 19 billion and, according to Julia Rueff, vice president of the company’s marketplace, most of this money will be invested in logistics, precisely to reach more addresses in less time.

“This unfolds in distribution centers or other shipping methods”, he says. The volume of investments in 2023 will be 11.7% higher than the previous year, when R$ 17 billion were invested.

According to Market Livre, investments and new hires should also accelerate the digital advertising and marketing business and expand the presence of Market Pago.

Brazil is the main market for the platform created in Argentina in the late 1990s. Throughout Latin America, the company intends to close 2023 with 13,000 hires, reaching 52,000 employees. In Brazil, today, 18.1 thousand people work for the company.

Last year, the platform adopted a flexible work model, with the possibility for employees to work remotely and also in offices, as is the case at Melicidade, the company’s headquarters in Osasco, in Greater São Paulo, and they can also do periods of “anywhere office”, when it is possible to work from anywhere, for a certain period.
