This Friday (25th) another semi-finalist was defined in the Marcílio Dias Football World Cup. The Bhutan team beat Germany by a score of 2-1, at the Arena Turíbio Orivaldo Guimarães, and qualified for the penultimate phase of the competition.

The event is organized by the Bairro do Trem Singles and Married Association (ASCBT) and is the largest amateur football event in the state played in a public square. 2020 was the last time the competition was played and it was only concluded at the beginning of 2022, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and problems on the pitch.

The winning team takes home R$25,000 and a replica of the FIFA World Cup cup. The vice-president wins the amount of R$15 thousand. Everyone will receive medals. In addition, there will be prizes for the outstanding players of the competition.
