The Associação Brasiliense de Cronistas Desportivos (ABCD) denounced this Wednesday that the president of Brasiliense, Luiz Estevão, prevented two professionals from the press from covering the duel with Goiás, in the quarterfinals of the Copa Verde, at Estádio Boca do Alligator, in the Federal District.
“In an abusive, illegal and criminal way, two press professionals affiliated with ABCD and accredited by the CBF for the game between Brasiliense x Goiás, valid for the 2023 Copa Verde, were prevented from exercising their role. The professionals have a professional registration, DRT, and are providing services to data companies that supply Google, Soft Sports, among other companies, such as Rede Globo, including betting sites Inclusive, the company Betano, which is a betting site, sponsors the tournament and gives the naming rights of the competition”, wrote the entity in a note.
According to ABCD, the order came from Luiz Estevão to block the entry of journalists. One of them would have been removed from the booth he was in, while the other journalist could not get past the gate.
The entity understands that there was a violation of the legislation, says that it called the Military Police, denounced the case to the Public Ministry of Labor (MPT) and says that it is considering filing a lawsuit against the club.
Luiz Estevão, 73, is a businessman, founder of Brasiliense and owner of the Metrópoles portal.
