The former Minister of the Civil House, Senator Ciro Nogueira (PP-PI), criticized the economic policy of the current government, stating that the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, is the new “Bolsonaro of the PT”. The statement was made on Sunday (26) in a publication on social networks.

“Haddad is the new Bolsonaro of the PT. The guilt? It’s his! Clarifying: after 2 months, the PT does not look for solutions, but for culprits. 1st, was PR Bolsonaro. Didn’t stick? They attack their own Finance Minister. Haddad is the new Bolsonaro of the PT yes, the new “culprit” for the old lack of direction of the government”, wrote Nogueira.

Earlier, also on social media, the senator said that they want to turn the government’s main minister into a fuel pole. “A weak finance minister is an economic policy without credibility. It is the first clause of the contract with failure. Don’t do this to Brazil!”

This Monday (27th) the possible return of the collection of federal taxes such as PIS/Cofins and Cide on gasoline and ethanol will be discussed, during a meeting between President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, and the president of Petrobras, Jean Paul Prates. The possibility of increasing the cost of fuel generated an impasse between the political and economic wings of the government, putting Lula and Haddad on opposite sides.
