Relegated to Series C of the Brazilian Championship, after finishing 17th in Series B this year, the Sampaio Corrêa presented, this Wednesday, the goalkeeper Philip39 years old, ex-Corinthians and Flamengo, to compete next season.
A member of the Corinthians team that fell to Série B in 2007 and the team that won the Copa do Brasil and Paulista in 2009, Felipe also has spells in Bragantino, Vitória-BA, São Caetano, Figueirense and Portuguese football. In August, the goalkeeper said goodbye to Paraná Clube, a club where he had two spells.
“Sampaio Corrêa has a heavy shirt of our Brazilian and Northeastern football, with tradition, passionate fans, with structure and all the conditions for us to work. I’m not Felipe from Flamengo, from Corinthians, but I still have the same spirit of dedication and dedication as always. I ask the fans for confidence, and for the 2024 competitions to come, so we can give our best on the field”, said Felipe.
Eduardo (goalkeeper), Fábio Aguiar (defender), Renzo (defender), Maurício (midfielder/back), Nadson (midfielder), Pimentinha (striker), Getterson (striker), Cebolinha (striker) and Edrean (striker) are other players hired by the board.
In addition to Series C, Sampaio will compete in the Northeast Pre-Cup, Copa do Brasil and Campeonato Maranhense. The team’s first game will be on January 7, against Potiguar de Mossoró-RN, at Castelão, in the first phase of the Northeast Pre-Cup. At State level, the debut will be on January 10th, against Cordino.
