Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) came out in defense of former president Jair Bolsonaro, during a speech in the Senate Plenary, this Thursday morning (2), after the denunciation of a possible coup made by Senator Marcos do Val (We can-ES).

According to Flávio Bolsonaro, the capixaba senator had already warned him that he would make the matter public and was sure that the statements “do not constitute a crime”. Flávio confirmed the meeting at the end of last year. “However, along the lines of that meeting that took place, it would be an attempt by a parliamentarian to demote the people who were at that meeting from doing something absolutely unacceptable, absurd and illegal”, says Flávio Bolsonaro.

The former president’s son defended that “all clarifications must be made”, but asked that an investigation not be opened, “because the narrated situation does not constitute any type of crime”. “I hope that all the clarifications are made so that there are no narratives on top of narratives in order to overcome the facts. The fact is that on December 31, President Bolsonaro left the presidency”, highlighted Flávio.
