Flamengo fan denies attacking Marcos Braz and will open a lawsuit

One day after Marcos Braz held a press conference to “explain” the fight with a Flamengo fan in a shopping mall in Rio and claimed that he was “threatened with death and was a victim”, young Leandro Campos, a 22-year-old delivery man, gave his version, questioning the justifications and told a very different story.

The fan revealed that he did not start the fight, that he only demanded the departure of Flamengo’s vice-president of football, reaffirmed that he had been “bitten in the groin” and that he was even kicked by Braz’s friend – the manager swore that he was alone at the scene . So he will sue you.

Represented by lawyer Ana Luize, Leandro Campos stated that he did nothing much on the day of the confusion. “I’m a victim because I didn’t attack him verbally or physically. I just said these words: ‘Marcos Braz, leave Flamengo’, that’s all,” said the fan, guaranteeing that he was not part of any of the club’s Uniformed Supporters. “I said exactly that, turned my back and walked away. At no point did I threaten him or his daughter.”

Campos also explained the moment of the fact. “The shopkeeper shouted, I turned around, and he was already coming after me with his fist clenched. I turned to face him, took a step back, he lost his balance and fell, he pulled my legs and I fell too. He It fell on my groin, caught it, bit me, and meanwhile, a friend of his (identified only as André) came and started kicking my head”, he accused. “Then, the mall’s security guards intervened.”

Braz claims that five times he cited the presence of his 14-year-old daughter at the scene to ask for the charges to stop. The fan’s lawyer gives a version in which the teenager would not even be at the scene. “She was at the mall, but she wasn’t there. There are a lot of people willing to testify for Leandro. At the time of the confusion, her daughter wasn’t with him”, guaranteed Ana Luize.

And he revealed the measures to be taken: “My client will represent criminally and civilly against Marcos Braz and his friend André who also attacked him. My client is unable to work, he is afraid of going out on the streets. It is absurd to place him as victim.”
