The Marche Region, which is in central-eastern Italy, signed a five-year agreement with the state of Amapá. The agreement is the result of the visit of the Amapá delegation, led by vice-governor Teles Júnior and the president of Sebrae Amapá, Josiel Alcolumbre, who visited and promoted meetings and exchanges with representatives of the regional government, universities and other local actors, such as centers technological companies Cosmob and Meccano and companies in the industrial and agri-food sector.

The state delegation was made up of representatives from the government and Brazilian business support institutions, and was received in the region by President Francesco Acquaroli to sign the memorandum of understanding that establishes collaboration in terms of knowledge, such as operational and human experiences that can create opportunities and development prospects of great importance for both parties in the field of bioeconomy, technology and innovation.

Economic development counselor Andrea Maria Antonini was present. “I am very pleased to sign this agreement because it means creating the conditions for opening up to new markets, exchanging experiences with our productive and educational fabric and, therefore, developing cultural and commercial relations also through the highly competent role as Cosmob, Chamber of Marche Commerce and University”.

“Our production system – he continued – is known worldwide for the great quality it can express, in furniture and design, in manufacturing, in mechanics, in the area of ​​fashion with the big names on the world stage and then also in food, and also excellence in wines. With this agreement it will be possible to reach agreement on precise training, innovation and research strategies with the mutual benefit of both production systems”.

Vice-governor Teles Júnior thanked the region and the technical structure that accompanied the delegation in the territories: “I am convinced that this agreement will bring excellent results because from what I have seen in recent days there are many similarities with our territories from the point of view of productive fabric, widespread small businesses that are also very attentive to sustainability and product quality”.
