Felipe Salto will receive the Economist of the Year award – 05/08/2023 – Panel

Former Secretary of Finance for the state of São Paulo, Felipe Salto was chosen Economist of the Year by the Order of Economists of Brazil.
In addition to his work in the portfolio, in the Rodrigo Garcia (PSDB) administration last year, he was also recognized for the role he held at the head of the Independent Fiscal Institution, in the Senate, for more than five years.
The suggestion of the tribute was made by former Minister Delfim Netto to the Superior Council of the Order. The nomination was approved unanimously. Salto is currently Chief Economist at consulting firm Warren Rena.
Among those already awarded the prize in past years are Ilan Goldfajn, Raul Velloso, Gesner Oliveira, Gustavo Loyola and Persio Arida.
