This Tuesday (16), the National Federation of Federal Criminal Police Officers (FENAPPF) will hold the fifth meeting with the team from the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) in search of enhancing the category. According to criminal agents, so far these meetings have not resulted in any “consistent” proposal and the category’s dissatisfaction with the Lula government is only growing.

“The MGI removed from the text (of the negotiations) the requirement for a higher education level (to enter the career), placing an intermediate level, which does not match the complexity of federal criminal execution. This represents a devaluation and, even more serious, a delay in the evolution to combat criminal organizations, which have been developing in several areas, such as logistics, technology and management. On the other hand, the Federal Government removes from the text of the PPF regulations something as important as the level of undergraduate education of its employees, making it clear that this career, in this way, will never be able to keep up with the development of organized crime”, says the excerpt from a note sent by the Federation to People’s Gazettethis Monday (15).

For the category, what is happening is a different treatment in relation to its sister Federal Police and Federal Highway Police, “which were valued in a few meetings with the MGI team”.

“The question remains: Why the inferior treatment towards this Union police force? A crucial point currently in question becomes evident, the public security crisis in the country of Ecuador, in which a leader of a criminal organization escaped from the prison system, generating one of the biggest crises in that country. What needs to happen here in Brazil for this to happen? The answer is simple: destroy the career of the Federal Criminal Police, weakening it, and this only benefits criminal organizations”, says the category in another part of the note.

Also this Tuesday (16), agents will campaign for regulation and equal treatment among the union’s police forces.
