A Brazilian Team is in the final stretch of preparation for the U-20 World Cup. After performing at Granja Comary, the team played its first training game on Friday (12) against Botafogo’s under-23 team. The match served as a test for coach Ramon Menezes to make the last adjustments before traveling to Argentina, host country of the World Cup, on Wednesday (17).
The president of the Amapaense Football Federation (FAF), Netto Goes, will be the head of delegation of the Brazilian National Team at the U-20 World Cup and is already with the players, in Rio de Janeiro.
For the Netto, The mission given to him is one of extreme responsibility and a way to carry the name of Amapá, showing the strength that Amapa football has been gaining. He believes in a good result for the Brazilian team.
The competition will run from May 20th to June 11th. Brazil is in Group D, alongside Italy, Dominican Republic and Nigeria. The national team debuts on the 21st against Italy. The second game will be against the Dominican Republic, on the 24th, and ends its participation in the first phase on the 27th against Nigeria. The chef from Amapá will accompany the entire preparation process, but will remain active in the implementation of the Amapá calendar of competitions.
