No filters for sincerity. It was how Rodrygo spoke about Flamengo’s elimination in the semifinal of the Club World Cup, to Al-Hilal. When commenting on the frustrated expectation of a confrontation with the red-black in the decision of the FIFA tournament, the Real Madrid striker surprised by saying that, in the Spanish squad, the result was already expected.
– To be honest, I knew it was difficult for Flamengo to pass. Everyone was really betting on Al Hilal, we expected the final to be against them. And that’s what happened. We know it’s going to be a very difficult game – said the Brazilian after his team’s classification for the decision, on Saturday, against the Saudis.
Rodrygo also spoke about the video that circulated on social media after Flamengo’s elimination. In it, vice president Marcos Braz and some players sang “Real Madrid can wait for its time to come” in the locker room after having won the Libertadores of America. Vini Jr’s companion did not consider the episode as a provocation, but a normal celebration. But he made a caveat.

This Wednesday, the striker scored one of the four goals in the 4-1 victory over Al-Ahly, in Rabat. The others were from Vini Jr, Valverde and Arribas.
