Esquivel debuts at Maracanã and receives praise at Athletico

Athletico went to get Esquivel at Unión
Esquivel is from Argentina and was signed by Athletico at the end of May, alongside Unión, from Santa Fé, but he was only able to play after the opening of the international transfer window, last Monday (3). The athlete played for Unión since the beginning of his professional career, in 2021.
Lucas Esquivel was good defensively, despite committing the foul that led to Flamengo’s second goal. He made good passes, but was shy in the offensive sector. The Athletico fans, in turn, approved the debut of the left-back (see below for some reactions).
With Esquivel, Athletico returns to the field against Strength on Sunday (9), at 6:30 pm, in Castelão. The return game against Flamengo will be on the 12th, at 21:30, at the Ligga Arena.
