Furthermore, it is worth highlighting the lack of social engagement as a factor that corroborates the invisibility intrinsic to the lack of documentation. It is clear, therefore, that society’s indifference to the importance of ensuring access to civil records for all individuals silences the issue in the social situation, which compromises the citizenship of many Brazilians, given that the possession of personal documents is done mandatory to access social benefits offered by the State.
