Enem: Gil do Vigor will teach math on YouTube – 05/30/2023 – Education

Former BBB Gil do Vigor will launch a YouTube channel with preparatory math classes for the Enem (National High School Exam). Called Mathematics of Vigor, the project should debut next Monday (5), the date on which registration for the exam begins.

Gil says he created the channel in order to offer better preparation to people with no financial conditions to attend a private pre-university course. Graduated in economics from the Federal University of Pernambuco, in Recife, he says that he had to study on his own to join the institution.

The content to be taught by the economist is based on the mathematical subjects that most fell on the Enem in the last five years. There will be, he says, more than 40 classes on subjects such as reason and proportion and trigonometry. Free distribution of an online booklet with 200 exercises for practice is also planned.

Living in the United States to conclude his doctorate at the University of California, Gil declares that he is looking forward to the debut of the endeavor. He was in Brazil to record part of the classes and should return to the country to prepare the rest.

The Pernambucan, who claims to have always dreamed of being a teacher, promises to bring a lot of lightness and his traditional “dogs” to his teachings. “On recordings, I try to impart knowledge in my fun way. I hope people enjoy it as much as I am,” he says.

“Education changed my life. The public university and the Quota Law transformed me. I always thought about how I could give back to society, and the channel was the way I found. The intention is to give hope and show that there is a possibility of a better future for all.”

The Enem evaluates the school performance of students at the end of basic education. Over more than two decades of existence, it has become one of the main gateways to higher education in Brazil, through Sisu (Unified Selection System) and initiatives such as Prouni (University for All Program).

Enem individual results can also be used in the selection processes of Portuguese institutions that have an agreement with Inep to accept exam scores. The agreements guarantee easy access to the grades of Brazilian students interested in studying higher education in Portugal.

The registration period will be from June 5th to 16th and the tests will be applied on November 5th and 12th.
