Manaus (AM) – This Wednesday (10) Martha Falcão College started the 32nd edition of the Martha Falcão Student Games (JEMAF), which will last until Friday (12). The event takes place in the week in which the institution’s 37th anniversary is celebrated. JEMAF 2023 has the theme “Sport, the universal language” and will have the participation of approximately 400 children and adolescents, from Elementary School I to High School.

They will compete in fifteen team and individual sports, including beyblade, judo, swimming, chess, ball-and-ball, futsal, mini-athletics, dodgeball, foosball, table tennis, handball, basketball, biribol and volleyball.

The director of Colégio Martha Falcão, Nelly Falcão de Souza, points out that the event is an opportunity to encourage the practice of sports for a healthier life and physical-motor development of the student, in addition to socializing, fraternization and the development of friendships.

“It is also through activities such as JEMAF that our students put into practice values ​​that are developed throughout the year, such as the meaning of sportsmanship, that is, respecting opponents and colleagues, following rules and being ethical”,

says the teacher.

Nelly points out that JEMAF is also a way of discovering sports talent within Colégio Martha Falcão. The director points out that sport can mean a gateway to a promising future as a professional athlete and represent Amazonas in regional, national and even international competitions.
