Emicida will receive the highest honor from Alesp – 12/14/2023 – Mônica Bergamo

The Legislative Assembly of São Paulo (Alesp) will grant rapper, singer and composer Emicida the Necklace of Honor for Legislative Merit, the House’s highest honor. The tribute was proposed by the PSOL Feminist Caucus, a collective mandate made up of five co-deputies.

“Emicida is one of the greatest artists today, and we, as parliamentarians, need to recognize personalities who touch people’s lives”, says Psolist deputy Paula Nunes.

The necklace ceremony will be held next Monday (18), starting at 6pm, in the Juscelino Kubitschek plenary, and can be watched by the public.

One of Brazil’s biggest rappers, Emicida released his first mixtape in 2009, “Pra Quem Já Mordeu um Cachorro por Comida, Until Eu Cheguei Longe…”.

In addition to having an established discography, he is the author of two children’s books, “Amoras” (2018) and “E Foi Assim Que Eu e a Escuridão Ficamigas” (2020), and partner of the company Lab Fantasma.
