Dorival Júnior announces first call-up for the Brazilian National Team – News of Brazil

The coach of the Brazilian Men’s National Team, Dorival Junior, announced this Friday (1st) his first call-up as head of Amarelinha, at an event at the CBF headquarters, in Rio de Janeiro. He called up 26 athletes for the friendlies against England, on March 23, at Wembley Stadium, in London (ING), and against Spain, on March 26, at the Santiago Bernabéu, in Madrid (ESP).
“We cannot let these results last. I think about the World Cup in two and a half years. You can be sure that we will have results that will surprise you”/said the National Team coach.
“Believe, trust the work. We prepare a lot for this to happen one day. I have no doubt that we will be present again in a World Cup final. Our work will be focused on this”, he added.
The general executive coordinator of the Brazilian Men’s Teams, Rodrigo Caetano, also participated in the press conference.
Dorival was officially presented on January 11th and, since then, has carried out integration and observation work for athletes. In February, the coach and members of the technical committee were in Europe for two weeks, watching matches from the continent’s main championships and training in the clubs’ CTs. The objective was to bring closer the exchange of information with European teams to define the best squad list.
At the same time, the coach followed the start of the Brazilian football season, which has already included rounds of state championships, in addition to the Brazilian Super Cup and the first phase of the Brazilian Cup.
