the federal deputy Dorinaldo Malafaia (PDT-AP) celebrated, on the morning of this Friday (12), the sanction, by the president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, of Bill No. 14,581, of 2023, which opens a special credit of R$ 7.3 billion in the budget of the National Health Fund to guarantee states and municipalities the payment of the national floor for nursing workers.
The measure was published in the Official Gazette of this Friday, the 12th, and was signed by Lula, this morning, International Nursing Day. Deputy Dorinaldo Malafaia, on the program ‘LuizMeloEntrevista’ (Diário FM 90.9)considered the presidential act as an unprecedented gift to the nursing class, who see a dream come true for many years and the outcome of a struggle that also comes from a long time.
Dorinaldo Malafaia she has an academic background in nursing and sympathized with her colleagues in the profession. “It is a considerable amount, more than seven billion reais that will improve the living conditions of all those who work in the profession, in Amapá and throughout the country”attested the parliamentarian.
Release from the federal government informs that the new base salary for nurses hired under the Consolidation of Labor Laws (CLT) regime is R$ 4,750, as defined by Law nº 14,434. Nursing technicians receive at least 70% of this amount (R$3,325) and nursing assistants and midwives, 50% (R$2,375). The floor applies to workers in the public and private sectors.
