The project brings together reports of some personalities who have made a great contribution to the cultural scene of the city

Manaus (AM) – The Cineclube de Arte will present, on Saturday (07/22), at the Amazonian Film Festival, the project “Records, Stories and Narratives about Amazonian Art”, starting at 6:30 pm, at Cineteatro Guarany. Directed by theater director and cultural producer Ana Cláudia Motta, the program features documentaries about Wagner Mello and Norma Araújo, big names in the Amazon theater scene.

Conceived by Ana Cláudia, the project aims to make a historical overview of the trajectory of artists and the artistic-cultural movement in the city. According to the cultural producer, it is very important to know the history of these people who had and have great relevance for our culture.

“There was a gap in the memory record of the artistic trajectory of these artists. And this project came precisely for that, to have these records and perpetuate the stories of such important people, and it is there for those who want to study more about our history, as well as have a cultural panorama of our city”,

says the producer.

In the records of Wagner Mello and Norma Araújo, the artists share their memories in the theater and the experiences that made up the great road to success. On the one hand he, who in 58 years of career, became one of the greatest exponents of the national theater. And on the other, “Manazinha” who, with a lot of spontaneity and irreverence, made her name in the theater and on the small screens of the Amazon public.

The Cineclube is promoted by the Government of Amazonas, through the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy. According to Marcos Apolo Muniz, holder of the portfolio, the project offers the public the opportunity to learn more about the history of our state. “Through the reports of these personalities we have access to the historical context of our city and how the theatrical segment has developed over time”,

highlights the holder.
