Disapproval of the third term of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) has increased in relation to the beginning of the government, according to data from the new round of the Ipec survey released this Friday (9). The survey carried out at the request of the newspaper O Globo shows that 40% of Brazilians disapprove of the PT’s administration, three points higher compared to the April survey, of 37%, and 35% in March.

In the more detailed evaluation of the survey, 32% of Brazilians consider Lula’s administration as fair and 28% as bad or terrible, both growing in comparison with previous surveys. In April, the regular rating was 30%, while the poor or terrible rating was 26%.

The excellent or good assessment has been decreasing, from 41% in March to 39% in April and 37% in June. The survey revealed that Lula’s approval has declined in his main electoral stronghold, the Northeast, with a drop from 55% to 45% since April.
