Dino’s departure from Justice will leave 47 summonses in the Chamber open – 01/14/2024 – Panel
[ad_1]
Flávio Dino’s departure from the Ministry of Justice will leave open 47 requests from federal deputies to summon him to give testimony in the Chamber on various topics.
Dino is the clear champion among ministers in the ranking of calls by parliamentarians, almost all of whom are Bolsonaro supporters. This is due to the breadth of themes in the portfolio that he still commands and his combative and mocking style, with many catchphrases and provocations.
Of the requests still being processed, 12 refer to meetings held last year by directors of the ministry with the wife of a Comando Vermelho leader imprisoned in Amazonas.
In second place are 9 requests for testimony linked to alleged failures by the Executive regarding the attacks on January 8 last year. There are also requests related to topics such as weapons, regulation of internet platforms and MST actions.
Dino, however, will not have time to fulfill the numerous requests. He will remain at the ministry until the end of this month, and in February he will take over as a member of the STF (Supreme Federal Court).
