In yet another move to bring the government of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva closer to the Armed Forces, the Minister of Justice, Flávio Dino (PSB), met last Thursday (11) with the president of the STM (Superior Military Court) , Joseli Camelo Parente.
The meeting is not on the agenda of either. Those who attended report that it was a relaxed conversation, designed to strengthen ties between the two institutions.
Since taking office, Lula has been making efforts to get closer to the military. The January 8 attacks on the Three Powers, staged in the camp in front of the Army headquarters in Brasília, intensified the attention given by the PT to the Armed Forces.
The president has already met with the leadership of the Navy, Air Force and Army.
