However, the ministry emphasizes that the estimate was made based on the current price of sustainable fuel on the international market. According to the ministry, the situation is one of high demand and low supply of the fuel, which increases the price. “[Os] volumes do not yet reflect the gains to be acquired from the learning curve and the increase in expected production of these fuels. As a result, a significantly lower impact than estimated is expected in 2027”, writes Silveira in the letter. The government’s intention is for there to be a progressive increase in the mixture.
